Our tennis facilities include six lighted tennis courts, a shaded outdoor lounge, a snack bar located near the tennis courts, and limited golf privileges. Tennis members enjoy weekly tennis ladders, mixed doubles tournaments, and a wide varietty of social events throughout the year. Expert instructors are also on hand to help you improve your game. The following is an example of regularly scheduled activities:

Tennis Ladders

One of the main benefits of club membership is having a variety of opponents with skill levels similar to your own. This makes for good tennis! Ladders rank players according to their skill level based on the outcome of previous matches played. For example, if you win a match then you would move above your opponent on the ladder, and vice versa. Matches are arranged between players close to each other on the ladder. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced, singles, or doubles player, ladder play will provide you with a better game and great fun. The regular Via Verde ladders are shown below:.

	Men's Doubles Ladder - Thursday Nights at 7:00 PM
	Men's Singles Ladder - Saturday Mornings at 8:00 AM

	Ladies' Night Doubles Ladder - Tuesday Nights at 6:30 PM
	Ladies' Morning Doubles Ladder - Thursday Mornings at 8:30 AM

Friday Night Tennis

Members enjoy a "no-partner required" mixed doubles on Friday evenings at 6:30 PM. The evening starts with several rounds of challenge court tennis followed by food, drink, and socializing.

Weekend Tournaments

Six weekend tournaments are scheduled each year, including the following themed events for 2012:

Chili Cook-off (April)

Star Spangled Tennis (July)

Golf & Tennis US Open Sunday (September)

Social Activities

Via Verde is a very social club, which fosters many great friendships on and off the courts. In addition to the Friday Night Tennis and weekend tournaments, which are social events combined with tennis, the members enjoy an annual dinner dance in the club ballroom and many other social activities throughout the year.

Youth Activities

Via Verde offers a variety of youth programs, including summer tennis an tennis and swim camps and weekly afternoon workout clinics..
