recently played 18 holes of golf at the Via
Verde Country Club. The course was in great
shape. The tees and fairways were obviously
over-seeded and well manicured. Your greens
were some of the smoothest and fastest that
I have played in years. The grounds crew made
it a point to stop their work until our foursome
finished the hole. We also enjoyed a fine
meal at your Friday night dinner. I always
look forward to being a guest of one of your
longtime members.

had never played the course and knew nothing
about it-and what a pleasant surprise I found.
Tree lined fairways that provided good lies
and smooth greens that held and putted true.
All this and virtual peace and quiet. (You
can tell I’m a public course player.)

I
was a member of this club for three years
and thoroughly enjoyed the carpet-like fairways
and immaculate greens. Very challenging for
a home course. Should take the high handicappers
game to a new level since this course (the
back-9 in particular) severely penalizes errant
tee shots...

I played this course on a Monday, the clubs
dark day, so there was no pro shop of other
service to be able to rate. The course was
in amazing condition, the over-seeding paid
off! I shot well and stayed out of trouble,
which is all over the place. If you can’t
hit it straight, then stay home... Great club.

want to thank you for the great job that your
staff did for our Scholarship fund raising
tournament. The tournament went off without
a problem and we had many positive comments
about the condition of the course and more
specifically the greens. The banquet was also
run smoothly and the food was very good. In
closing, I would like to say that the event
was very successful and we hope to continue
a relationship with your club for future events…
I
have been a member at Via Verde for 11 years
and have to say that the course in the best
shape that I have ever seen. The superintendent
and his crew really take pride in their work
and it shows. The over seeding schedule is
double of most country clubs. The fairways
are plush and the greens are fast and firm….
It was certainly my pleasure to have played
in the Mckinley Children’s Center Golf
tournament yesterday at Via Verde. I am a
proud member of Candlewood Country Club in
Whittier, and I believe that we have a fine
place to play and enjoy golf, but I wanted
to tell you that Via Verde Country Club is
one of the best places it has been my good
fortune to play in this great game of golf.
Each hole was interesting with some very nice
views of the area and the greens were just
great, big, fast and very playable. I am not
associated with Mckinley, but I am sure its
board is pleased to have been allowed to hold
its 2005 tournament at Via Verde Country Club…
